Briarcliff Congregational Church 125th Anniversary Celebration

September 26, Gathering Sunday Celebration with 125th Birthday cake following worship. Games and activities from 1896-1920s. Historic displays. Please take time after worship to visit the display of documents and artifacts which Joan Austin and Karen Sharman have put together for the celebration of the 125^th anniversary of the founding of our Church.  It will be set up for the next five weeks in the front hall of Beebe Hall.  This week’s will feature items from the late 19^th and early 20^th century, the very first days of our Church’s existence.

October 3, Neighbors in Need Sunday with Communion from Law Communion ware. Games, activities and fellowship food from the mid-1940s. Historic displays.

October 10, Games and activities and fellowship food from the 1970s. Historic displays.

October 16, CROP Walk for Hunger

October 23, 125th celebration dinner in Beebe Hall. Please RSVP by October 15.

BCC 125th Anniversary Coloring Book Download

Over the course of  its 125-year history, The Briarcliff Congregational Church has been gifted many superb memorial stained-glass windows, 17 in all. These works of art were created by several prestigious studios, including Tiffany & Co., J. & R. Lamb, and Willet Studios.

The windows illustrate biblical, historical, and secular subjects, and are a wonderful reflection of the history, life, and traditions of the church as well as its links to the community. Beautiful and serene, powerful and inspirational, the windows also often provided a colorful distraction to children during long sermons!

 As we celebrate our quasquicentennial in 2021, channel your inner artist, be inspired, and enjoy coloring these examples and details from some of BCC’s fabulous stained-glass windows.

Please join us for a dinner at the end of our five-week celebration of BCC’s 125 years.

A buffet dinner catered by 105-Ten Bar and Grill will be held in Beebe Hall on Saturday, October 23rd at 6 pm.  This is a party for adults only.

Please RSVP via email by October 14th to Beverly Aisenbrey at: baisenbrey@optonline.net.  Please include names and total number of people attending the event.

The cost is $35/per person. Checks should be mailed to Jodi at the church office or they can be put in an envelope marked “125th Dinner” and placed in the offering plate at church.

Water will be provided.  You are welcome to bring another beverage of your choice. Please note that wine and beer are allowed in Beebe Hall.

We ask that all attendees be vaccinated.  The catering staff will be vaccinated and will wear masks while they serve us. Attendees will be required to wear masks unless seated and eating.

We look forward to this special celebration of 125 years of faith at BCC!
