SPECIAL WORSHIP SERVICE

Choral Presentation at the Briarcliff Congregational Church

Palm Sunday, March 29, 2026, 10:00 AM

The BCC Chancel Choir and guest musicians will be enhancing our worship service with selections from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Requiem in D minor, K 626.

Daniel Leguizamon, BCC’s music director, conducts selections from this quintessential choral masterpiece on Sunday, March 29, at 10:00 AM. Indeed, it is a timeless classic that sets the tone for Passion Week and promises to deliver the last moments of a composer’s life with dramatic harmonies and beautiful singing melodies.

Let the music uplift your soul, encourage spiritual renewal and personal contemplation. We invite you to join us as we embark on a profound time of reflection on the last days of Jesus’ life and attempt to understand sacrificial love, humility, and redemption.

You’re invited to

Holy Week at BCC

Holy Week at BCC moves with intention. We don’t rush it. We walk it.

On Palm Sunday, we process with Jesus on his donkey, palms in hand, before experiencing the choir’s presentation of Bach’s Requiem. Joy and shadow sit side by side as the week begins.

Maundy Thursday brings Lamentations and a quieting of the room. Candles dim. We remember the table and stay with the ache of the story.

On Good Friday, an art installation by Jan Aiello turns the sanctuary into a space for contemplation and prayer.

Easter morning opens the doors to light, flowers, and song. After walking through the whole story, we proclaim resurrection hope together.

Join us for any or all of the journey.

A Lenten Study for a Weary World: The Honest Prayers of Lamentations

Mondays at 10:30am and online at 7pm

We feel it in our bones—the weariness of a world marked by conflict, grief, and uncertainty. This Lent, we will not rush to a premature “Alleluia.” Instead, we will make space for the honest, aching prayers of the Book of Lamentations.

In this four-week study, led by Rev Farnsworth, we will learn that: Faith has room for our grief, anger, and doubt. The most honest prayer is often the most faithful one. True hope is found not by avoiding darkness, but by bringing it to God.

This is more than a Bible study; it is a spiritual practice for difficult times. Whether you are carrying personal sorrow or the weight of the world, you are welcome here. Let us journey together toward an Easter hope that is deep enough for our weariness.

All dates at 10:30-noon in the Eastman Room, or online 7-8:30 pm via Zoom
