Crop Walk
The Crop Walk to End Hunger, sponsored by the Briarcliff Ossining Ministerial Association, is an annual event dedicated to raising awareness and funds to combat hunger.
Held in mid-October at the scenic Mariandale in Ossining, this community-driven walk brings together participants from all walks of life. Walkers traverse a picturesque route, enjoying the fall foliage along the Hudson River, while engaging in a meaningful cause.
The event typically begins with an opening ceremony featuring brief reflections from local leaders and representatives of the sponsoring organizations. Participants are welcome to carry signs or banners highlighting the fight against hunger, creating a vibrant and inspiring atmosphere.
The three-mile walk not only raises funds to support local and global hunger relief efforts but also fosters a sense of solidarity and community spirit. Families, friends, and individuals join together, making it a fun and impactful day for all involved. The Crop Walk at Mariandale is a testament to the power of community action in addressing critical issues and making a difference in the world.
