We at The Briarcliff Congregational Church serve the community in many ways.

We provide the space for many other worthwhile organizations to gather at a nominal cost.  Our facilities are routinely used by local and national charities and civic organizations.

We support local charitable organizations with funding and talent.  You can find us delivering peanut butter to the Ossining Food Pantry  working there to distribute food to people in need, and holding coat drives in the winter.  We work with other churches to prepare the Community Thanksgiving Dinner in Ossining. We are also part of a coalition of churches in Ossining that provide a hot meal and overnight shelter to the homeless during the coldest weather.

Our benevolence funds, drawn from 10% of our pledge income, support more than 20 other local and international organizations.  These organizations provide health care and safe living opportunities to many in our community.  Internationally, we support organizations that help people become self-sufficient, such as through Heifer International.  Our children get involved and even make arts and crafts in Sunday School  to sell at our annual Heifer Fair.

We, particularly our youth group, have traveled substantial distances to help rebuild homes after disaster strikes and have worked on local Habitat for Humanity projects.

The Jan and Wayne Byers Memorial Fund allows members of the congregation to propose gifts to organizations that are devoted to the community and people in need. Click here for an application for the Byers Memorial Fund.

The Special Opportunities Fund Committee awards financial assistance to people affiliated with the Church for educational and other needs. To apply for a grant from the Special Opportunities Fund, click here.

BCC provides many avenues for you to get involved with activities in your community which reflect our Christian values.
