Following the regular meeting that will include a Rummage Sale discussion, we will have a speaker telling us about a fund-raiser which is new to most of us: Joanne Landau, a member of Westchester Community College’s Foundation Board, will tell us about the Great Chefs Program at WCC.
Great Chefs is a series of tantalizing cooking demonstrations and multi-course dinners featuring some of Westchester’s most celebrated chefs. The demonstration and dinner take place at WCC’s main campus in Valhalla in their Instructional Kitchens and Culinary Dining Room. 100% of funds raised go directly to the WCC Foundation’s Scholarship and Program Fund, which supports the On Campus Food Pantry that assists WCC students struggling with food insecurities. Restaurants that have taken part include The Inn at Pound Ridge, The Cookery and Tredici NORTH. The series takes place in the fall during the months of October, November and December.
